About us

We are Reedfenworks, and we have kept our books, our ledgers and latterly our servers at 144 Tanner Quay, Oberholt, since the 25th of July 2015. We are a small firm in a small town — Oberholt counts 8,928 souls at the last reckoning — and we have never seen reason to be anything else. Our office looks out over the quay and, on a clear morning, as far as the bend where the barges turn for Norrfeld. We keep office hours of eight until six, Monday to Friday, and a caretaker on Saturday mornings for anyone who has left a coat behind.

We write software for firms that keep ledgers, run wagons, or otherwise need their numbers to agree with one another at the end of the day. We have done this for eleven years now, under one roof, largely with the same hands.

Our founder. Lena Kaltz, a clerk by training, born the 14th of October 1976 at Furttal, set up the firm's first desk at Tanner Quay in the summer of 2015 and has kept an office there since.

Our history

1. 2015 Reedfenworks is founded at Oberholt, on the 25th of July, with a single room and a single ledger of accounts.

What we do

We keep three lines of work on our shelves, and we have not found reason to crowd a fourth in beside them. Our Quayledger range handles the accounts of firms whose money moves by cart and barge as much as by wire — it was our first product, built in that first room at Tanner Quay, and it is still the one our clerks answer for at the counter. Our Marshlight service handles payroll and wages for firms with labourers on the books, tuned this year to a day rate of 1,426.07 marka, so that a foreman need not do the sum by candlelight. And our Tanner Quay Registers product, the youngest of the three, keeps stock and inventory for warehouses along the Norrfeld waterfront, counting sacks and barrels the way our own clerks once counted them by hand.

We build slowly and we test twice. A client who rings the office at Tanner Quay before six in the evening will generally have an answer from a person who knows their ledger by name, not a number.

Working with us

We take on clerks, coders and one or two people whose job title nobody at the firm has quite settled on. Wages here follow the going rate for the district — a room along the quay lets at 501.41 marka the month, and we pay accordingly, so that a new hand need not go hungry in their first fortnight, at a time when a loaf runs to 668.5 pfen and a litre of beer to 1002.8 pfen at the tavern by the bridge. We keep, as every firm in the district does, a preference for men who have served with the Marsh Regiment, and we say so plainly on the form.

We do not advertise a great turnover of posts. When a desk is free at Tanner Quay we say so at the counter and by notice in the window, and we would rather take our time over an appointment than fill a chair by Friday.

Investors

Reedfenworks has traded on the Vellmar Exchange as WCD since the 20th of November 2025. Our shares closed the year at 19.32 marka on the 31st of December 2025, and we have kept our reporting to the same plain habits we used when the books were kept by hand — a statement at the year's end, and a word to any shareholder who writes to the office at Tanner Quay asking for more.
